Arbor Genie builds AI-powered tools for independent medical practices. We're founded by the team behind Arbor Eyecare, an ophthalmology and optometry practice in the Snoqualmie Valley. We build tools to solve problems we've experienced firsthand — starting with fax automation and patient visit prep.
Arbor Genie was founded by Chris Dale, MD MPH and Rebecca Dale, MD. Chris brings healthcare data and technology expertise; Becca brings clinical operations and practice management experience as the owner of Arbor Eyecare. Learn more on our About page.
Our products are currently designed for eyecare practices. Fax Genie works with practices that receive medical faxes (which is most of them). Yellow Sheet Genie is built specifically for practices using Eyefinity Encompass. We're always interested in hearing from practices that could benefit from our tools — get in touch.
It depends on the product. Each product has a different architecture and different data handling requirements — see the product-specific sections below for details. In general, we take patient privacy seriously and design our products with HIPAA compliance in mind from the start.
Intelligent medical fax automation for independent practices.
Fax Genie is an AI-powered fax management system that receives incoming medical faxes, identifies the document type, extracts key information, and routes them to the right person — turning hours of manual sorting into seconds of automated triage.
When a fax arrives, Fax Genie reads the document using AI, classifies it (referral, prior auth, medical records, prescription refill, etc.), extracts the relevant details, and presents a clean summary on a dashboard for your team to review. Your staff approves the suggested action — Fax Genie handles the busywork, your team stays in control.

Fax Genie processes fax data through secure cloud infrastructure. Because it receives and processes PHI on your behalf, we execute a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with every practice we work with. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is strictly controlled.
Yes. Because Fax Genie receives, stores, and processes PHI in the cloud, a BAA is required. We provide one as part of onboarding — it's a standard part of getting set up.
Fax Genie is designed to integrate with your existing fax infrastructure. Specific setup depends on your fax provider and workflow. Contact us and we'll walk you through compatibility for your practice.
Fax Genie correctly classifies and processes over 80% of faxes fully automatically. The remainder are flagged for human review. Every fax is reviewable on the dashboard, so your team always has full visibility — no black boxes.

If faxes aren't being processed as expected or you're seeing errors on the dashboard, contact us with a description of what you're seeing. Include the fax date and any details that would help us track it down. We typically respond within one business day.
Chrome extension for automated patient visit prep sheets.
Yellow Sheet Genie is a Chrome extension that generates patient visit prep sheets for eyecare practices using the Eyefinity Encompass platform. It pulls demographics, benefits, Rx history, and clinical details from the pages your front desk is already viewing and assembles them into a printable sheet.
Yellow Sheet Genie is designed specifically for Eyefinity Encompass (both the EPM and EHR). It does not currently support other practice management systems.
Yes. Yellow Sheet Genie runs 100% locally in your Chrome browser. No patient data is ever sent to Arbor Genie or any external server. There is no cloud component, no database, and no analytics. All data processing happens on your local machine. See our privacy policy for full details.
No. A Business Associate Agreement is required when a vendor receives, stores, or processes PHI on your behalf. Yellow Sheet Genie never does any of that — all patient data stays on your local workstation. Arbor Genie has no access to your patient data at any point.
Yellow Sheet Genie is available through the Chrome Web Store. Click "Add to Chrome" and follow the prompts. Once installed, the extension icon will appear in your Chrome toolbar. Click it to open the side panel while viewing Eyefinity Encompass.
Make sure you are on a supported Eyefinity Encompass page (either the EPM or EHR). The extension only activates on specific domains. If the issue persists, try the following:

Yellow Sheet Genie is a Chrome extension and requires Google Chrome. It may also work in Chromium-based browsers (such as Microsoft Edge), but it is only tested and supported on Chrome.
Right-click the Yellow Sheet Genie icon in your Chrome toolbar and select "Remove from Chrome." Alternatively, go to chrome://extensions, find Yellow Sheet Genie, and click "Remove." All locally stored data is deleted when the extension is removed.
